Wrong time of day with respect to the light? Cropped too tight at the bottom? Lack of saturation? I'm afraid it is a miss IMO.

Hi Stamper,

Wrong time of the day, Yes Agree, Unfortunately I will not be able to go there again

Cropped too tight at the bottom, perhaps, let me see if I have another different shot

Lack of Saturation ?, Here we can discvuss all day long long and well that goes for me into the range of taste and I am not a great friend of putting to much sugar into my coffee ...

Will do some tests and see what comes out.

Today afternoon I can post a link so you can download the original CR2 file and play with it if you are interested.

BTW that was the first day I was out shooting with the new Canon EF 11-24mm f4L USM. Just had picked it up the day before together with a 5D Mark III

(OK that sounds like an excuse for my bad photography ::) )

I am a fan of wide angle but those bottom 11mm are really challenging. I have a 16-35mm and that one at 16mm is easier then those 11mm. OK, practice practice and practice. At the moment the lens is travelling in the US with a firend who is making a US National Park Tour up to yellowstone and intermediate other parks. I will join him on June 14th for a visit at the University Astronomical Observatory in San Pedro Mártir in South Baja California for 3 days and then make a tour at the southern border of USA for some other National parks.

Thanks and regards Rainer
