Title: Joshua Tree National Park
Post by: sierraman on May 13, 2015, 11:31:32 pm
No, not a "Joshua Tree" but a quick stop by the Cholla Cactus Garden in the park. Lots of fun photo op's in the garden.

Where in this park is this located exactly? Looks like a nice area to explore.

Right at the boundary of the Colorado (Sonoran) Desert and the Mojave, on the main north-south road about in the center of the park.

Do not where shorts or sandles if you wander about:-)

And don't let your dog out of the car or you will be pulling cactus spines for a while.

Chollas! I spent a lot of time roaming around Anza Borrego east of San Diego. Chollas are the devil incarnate, once hooked they don't let go. And they will penetrate soft-sole walking shoes. Trust me, I know. BTW, I like your photograph. ;)
