Title: Screen Options
Post by: mitchino on May 13, 2015, 04:09:40 am
Thinking about buying a new monitor again, as I have a colour critical job coming up. A couple of years ago I bought an Eizo Color Edge 27" but sent it back within a week as I couldn't stand the grainy anti glare matte coating on the screen. Have the coatings improved since then? I assume Eizo and NEC are still the best options? Now of course there are 4K options too? Recommendations please, for a colour accurate screen without grainy coating!

Most recent NEC displays feature very smart satin diffuser, which gives very sharp and clear image, without a trace of clouding/sparkling.

As for UHD options there's NEC PA322UHD and EA244UHD - both are decent and highly recommended IMO.

Thanks, great info, also been reading reviews of latest Eizos and apparently they don't sparkle either.
