Another smoke creation...wondering if I went too far with the faux reflections and inverted colors.

I've been watching you put these up and have been mesmerized by them. Maybe I missed it but did you share how you are making these? Or is that something you'd rather keep to yourself?

+2 !  Wonderful images.  Truly creative.  Some of the most inventive works seen here. And BEAUTIFUL.  Definitely not "over the top".  Right on the money. Whatever you do, don't quit!

There's a ton of videos on youtube on making incense smoke images...there is an associated learning curve.

Then take several hundred pictures and cull then to find what you consider the best...purely subjective mind you>
basic work in LR then on to PS CC>make selections of smoke (I use the color range command)>import chosen selections
onto a new "canvas" and manipulate those chosen selections using the myriad of PS methods into whatever you want them to resemble.

Best to have chosen a subject with which you are familiar.       ;)

I'll have to check the vids out, thanks. How much time do you spend on these? It seems like it takes quite a bit of time to create.

Time is a relative term...would you suggest to a fisherman that it's more economically feasible to capture that fish at the supermarket?    ;D
