Last spring when the newly planted crops were sprouting I took my infrared converted camera and searched the fields for interesting patterns. I generally used a long lens and focus stacked for depth of field. Processed in Nik SEP. Here are four that I like. Looking forward to doing same this spring.

They are truly exceptional . A collection with great unity of idea and treatment.

A lovely series! Well seen, captured and processed.

I agree. Viewing them is a pleasure.

Yep, great set.

I don't usually like this effect but these are very interesting especially number 2. You obviously know what you are about and gives me something to think about.

2 and 3 are my favorites, especially 2.
Have a Nice Day.

2 is my favorite, too, but all are 3excellent.
I have tried to capture patterns of this sort, but never as successfully as these.

Love the toning!
A question: is digital infrared inherently more grainy/noisy or you added some for effect?

No extra grain added. This is from a 12mp Pansonic G1, m4/3, converted which was sort of noisy to start with. If I remember correctly, my very limited experience with 4x5 infrared many years ago was that it was also grainy especially for large format.

Good set, especially like #s 2 and 4. It's a great idea to convert old digital cameras to IR, gives them new life!

#2 for me.
