I worked very hard and created several adjustment layers, luckily I output a Tiff, but realized I needed to do a little more tweaking and upon going back into C1, 2 or 3 layers are just missing! WTF? I can compare the output Tiff to the Raw image and they are totally different, so it isn't me just misremembering things. Damn this software has a lot of bugs!
Anyone else had similar problems. I'm sick of dicking around with support. Waste of time. They should pay me for doing their beta testing.

I have had my share of problems with Vr8.x but not that. Are you win or Mac and which version. The latest version allows more than 10 layers and you may have found a bug.
With my a Phase files I tend to use a lot of layers but do far this has not happened.

No need to apologize. I'm more than a little pissed off with Phase One's support at the moment.
I have gotten much more support from users than any of those "experts" from P1.
Now that sir, is a vent. ;D

I had, I believe, 5 layers, but perhaps 6 or maybe even 7; I had a couple little things that I wanted to work out before going into Photoshop and made a few quick final layers and don't quite remember. It was not 10 for sure, even though the latest update to 8.1 (which I am using) increased up to, what, 16 I think.
I'm on Windows 8.1. Love C1 generally, but there are a lot of little things that bite me in the ass and it's pissing me off quite honestly.

You didn't by chance rename your file somewhere along the way, did you?

Well, if I did, it was certainly accidental. I'll look into it later. Thanks for the suggestion.
