Title: Landscape Photographer of the year 2014 [UK]
Post by: jjj on November 18, 2014, 03:13:40 pm
The winners of the 2014 competition have been announced.  (http://www.take-a-view.co.uk/2014_winners.htm)
A couple of the winners were taken near me and as it happens the 'The VisitBritain ‘You’re invited’ Award Winner' looks towards where the 'Adult Urban view - Winner' was taken.

Sven Mueller  - Sunrise at Winnats Pass, Derbyshire, England

That road is a mean ride up on a bike!!

Daniel Cook - The Arts Tower, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England
Judge’s choice – Steve Watkins

The recently restored  Arts Tower is a striking building and in July every window [and there are an awful lot] was turned yellow for when the Tour De France came through Sheffield.

Thanks for posting this. Some of those images took my breath away! Congrats to the winners.

Just realised that there's a third category winner, the 'Adult Classic view' that's local.

The Hope Valley

Dave Fieldhouse - Bright Eyes - Hope Valley from the Great Ridge, Derbyshire, England

Though the wretched cement works doesn't exactly add to this image in my opinion.
This is taken from just off to the left of the Winnat's Pass photo above.

The shot below is taken just about dab smack of the middle of the other two, looking down the Hope Valley towards Sheffield. Just a quick grab shot as I was out mountain biking at time.
