The image presents few if any distractions to its subjects and their stories.  I become so readily absorbed in their stories that it is difficult to be mindful of the photographic concerns, such as the importance of their feet.  It seems a good thing that you made her two feet into one.

Rain drops on the lens might add drama and remind the viewer of the primacy of photography.
