Title: Tour de France and the selfie
Post by: Isaac on July 10, 2014, 02:10:52 pm

"A dangerous mix of vanity and stupidity. Standing [in] the middle of the road with you[r] back turned while 200 cyclists come at you (http://www.bbc.com/news/in-pictures-28192817), just to take a selfie."

Nothing new, in 1994 Tour de France, Laurent Jalabert crashed into a policeman who was taking a photo (not a selfie, though):

Nothing new…

There have been a lot of spectator crashes this year.

"Andy Schleck had to retire from the race following a crash in Stage 3 Monday. Schleck went down after a rider in front of him made a sudden movement trying to avoid a spectator."
