I think the danger posed by trolls in the mentioned areas is a bit overstated in the announcement.
Correct preparations require simply not washing yourself for some weeks (4 minimum),
not changing clothing, especially underwear and getting drunk every day for a period
of about 4 weeks as well to adapt the overall look and mouth odor.
UV lamps are a must in case you need to petrify the occasional troll
coming near the group, but swedish guides usually have some at hand.
Harsh colors like red or pink with green dots on your clothing should be avoided,
since it may provoke trolls attacks, even if you have managed to acquire the correct smell.
If an attack happens - "Duck and Cover" will most likely save you, since trolls usually do not attack
closely, but simply throw large rocks at their adversaries.
If you follow these simple guidelines (and the swedish locals have some more tricks I might not know)
the workshop should be as comfortable as a visit in Disneyland.
As you can see in the image below the locals manage to get really close to them,
protected by the mounted UV lamps on their specially equipped cars.
Using mobile lamps (preferably the type equipped with with fresnel lenses) strong enough to petrify a trolls leg usually does the trick when hiking.

In the photo above the situation is not as dangerous as is led to believe, sun is shining quite strongly which petrifies the troll or at least slows it down considerably. I hope the car turned around before the clouds rolled in, or at least that the memory cards were found...

Since there is always the danger of being eaten (or worse) by a Troll, payment is upfront. No cheques.

If you're looking for trolls, you don't have to go to Sweden. Just look on any ETTR thread.

This may be the first workshop I am genuinely interested in joining.
My panoramic head has been described in the past by some resolution challenged MF gear owners as "trolling" and it should be a perfect match for the sweet Swedish environment.
I surely hope that the formerly virgin (female) participants will be eager to continue practicing their new skills during the WS.

That vehicle is either a Land Rover Defender 90 or 110. I can't tell from the back. The occupants have nothing to fear from the troll. They can just lock the diff's and drive over him. Now there might be something to fear from Lucas. ;D

Hmmm...that is if the Landy doesn't break down first!... There are only two man-made objects clearly visible from space: The Great Wall of China and the queue of Land Rovers waiting to get into the repair shop!

I was almost going to comment on the amazing stalling ability of Td5 engine (had a Defender 110 Td5 for 5 years…), but maybe not.
Because now I drive a Land Cruiser...

Sounds like a great ws, I will bring my new Capture1 7.2.1 with the new Forensic+ feature with me for extra detail in the Troll's eyes.

I could tell this was an April Fool's joke.
"Personal items (clothes, toiletry etc.) will be carried by local guides, you only have to carry your camera equipment."
Swedes are not that service minded :P

The well-played April Fool's joke aside, is there any truth to this deal? Well, other than the trolls? Real-world trolls, unlike the internet variety, are fairly elusive, but a landscape workshop in Sweden would be excellent.

Iceland is actually the place with real trolls, at least they take them into account when constructing buildings and roads, as not to disturb them.
The scenery is not bad, either.

Torbjörn Tapani, congratulations! You found the clue (which we carefully built into the text) to the fact that the workshop was an April Fools joke!
You are absolutely right, in Sweden everybody carries his or her own backpack :)
A real Troll Photo Workshop, no April Fools thing, should be planned for 2016.
