Title: Castle Tower and Clouds
Post by: bretedge on January 09, 2014, 11:00:16 pm

A sheet of rain approaches Castle Tower (Castleton Tower, Castle Rock) on a blustery autumn day near Moab, Utah.

Thanks for having a look.

Very good image, it really conveys the drama of the moment.

I think this image is outstanding. All the drama is there and the tones capture it so well. Do you think that a tad less contrast in the lower right third may add impact? On the other hand it looks so good as is. Bravo!

Yes indeed. My first impression was Ansel Adams would have smiled at seeing your image.

Thank you for the comments and compliments.  This image is part of my "Moab in Monochrome" portfolio.  For those interested, the entire portfolio will be on display at the Big Horn Gallery at Dead Horse Point SP this spring.
