Title: Blending bracketed film exposures

I shoot medium format 6x7 and bracket to cover for errors with reading the light meter.  I then scan with an Epson V600 flat bed.  Can I combine the different scan files so that I can blend the exposures when I failed to use a graduated ND filter?  I currently use Elements 8 and LR3.

Yes you can do that.
I did it with film/scanning too.
IMO often a manual blend works better than trying to HDR merge them.
But I usually take only 2 images. One for the sky and one for the landscape.

Unless I am mistaken, blending two images requires layers.  I don't think your software has layer capability.

Ok, if Elements won't work, what software and how do you do it, specifically.  I'm not looking for the name of the software only, but how do you scan, flat or adjusted, what adjustments do you do with scan afterwards before you blend, etc?  Then the process of blending or HDR or what?  Thanks.

You can do HDR/layer blending in Elements - at least Elements 10 or later.  Lightroom doesn't natively work with layers, but the LR/Enfuse plugin will take the images, stack them and do the blending.  Neither will give you a 32-bit HDR image, but that may be more than you need.
