Title: Variations between DP2 Merrills?

I'm wondering if anybody who used these noticed some kind of variation? I have the chance to buy a used one for a good price (I already have one but I plan to use two for panoramas), but it will be probably impossible to return it unless the thing is actually broken.

Has anybody ever used different DP2Ms and noticed any kind of variation?
