Title: How to stop C1 from launching automatically?

I have Capture One Pro 6.4.5 (build 66483) and I only use it very occasionally. But every time I connect my camera to my laptop, C1 launches, it's a pain in the butt. I've searched around the menus and Preferences but can't find a way to turn this off.

Any advice, please?

Preferences/General/ Open Importer when mounting removable media (uncheck)

Mac.

Ario, I did that. It still launches when I connect the camera.

If you are on a Mac:
1. Open Image Capture. It is stored in the Applications folder.
2. Open Preferences.
3. Set the camera preference to "No application"
On Windows I don't know.

Aaaand.......that was it!!  :-D

My version of Image Capture doesn't have a "Preferences" but I was able to find what you described. Problem solved, and today's tethered session (I normally tether via Lightroom) went smooth as silk.

P.S. -- how friggin' weird is that? A totally un-related, un-launched program causing an issue between my camera and C1....I would NEVER have figured this one out.

I'm also on a Mac and do not have "camera" settings in preferences, and cannot figure out how you turned off this setting? I'd appreciate more info, please.

Having the camera connected or a card inserted in the card reader a small triangle in the bottom left of the Image Capture panel will give you access to to the possibility to turn off the auto-launch of  any application.
