Title: Making Gamut Plots From Scratch
Post by: MarkM on March 15, 2013, 08:31:37 pm
I know you can do a lot of this easily with software like ColorThink. But if you are the type that likes to understand what's going on behind the scenes, this might make a good weekend diversion:

Exploring Color Theory With Blender (http://www.photo-mark.com/notes/2013/mar/13/color-theory-blender/)

Blender is an open source modeling/rendering app. At the end of the post there's a link where you can download the blender file that includes the python script showing how to make a few of the plots with only color matrices and the conversion formulas.

I'm a photographer, not a programmer or much of a color expert; I'm open to constructive ideas & corrections.
