Title: Second try

A bw version of one of my favorite shots. Taken with a D50 with kit lens.

I like the textures and particularly the delicacy of the tables against the roughness of the treees. I feel an impulse to crop it to make the two big trees a little more central, although not symmetrically central. But I know such impulses often end in tears.

Hmmm... even though the tree on the left is more central, I think the weight of it is balanced nicely by the two tables and the other tree.  I wouldn't change it.

Mike.

I'm ok with the current crop. I did try a more severe one but didn't feel better and it's worth saying this is already quite cropped. From a 6 MP D50 shot it has maybe 50% left of the surface, so an equivalent of 3 MP or so.
Post processing I'm still debating but I'm tempted to leave it like this, without too much contrast, as it fits better with the message.

Hi Armand, I like this image, too. Very simple but very powerful. The vertical lines of the trunks and horizontal of the ground work nicely together. Well done!
