Hi all -
I am new to the forum and new to photography. I will admit its a hobby but I have the character trait of being a perfectionist with things I'm passionate about.
I have an upcoming trip to Wyoming next month and wondering what else do I need to take with me?
I'm currently shooting a Nikon D90 and Tokina 12-24 for most of my landscapes. I have a 70-300VR for reach and a 50 f/1.8 for when the need arises.
Neutral density filters and holders - P size
1 stop hard
2 stop soft
3 stop soft
3 stop soft reverse
Solid ND filter
6 stop
Also have a CPL and I'm set with a tripod/head as well.
Is there anything you guys can think of that would be beneficial to a newbie like me?

- Extra battery or two depending on how much you shoot and availability of electricity
- Good camera bag with rain cover
- Gray balance card or ColorChecker Passport if you wanna get fancy
- Good camera strap
- Good tripod bag/strap
- Lens hood for at least the wide angle zoom
- Flash might be useful
- Extra memory cards
- and perhaps most importantly, backup-capable portable HDD with card reader (Hyperdrive etc.), or a laptop with a card reader. You really don't want to travel with all your precious photos in one place, with no backup.

Don't forget to tuck in a couple large plastic trash bags. Can be very welcome if you ever get caught in a sudden downpour or a dust cloud, just jam in all your gear until it's over. Especially welcome for tripod users, I also carry a small bungee cord to close the bag just under the camera head. And one of those folded up plastic raincoats for yourself. Maybe also a Voodoo charm so you don't get hit by lightning.

Sudden downpours? Dust clouds? Lightning? I've never been to Wyoming but it sounds like scene from a disaster movie :P

Small LED flashlight. Remote release. Bubble level. Sharp pocket knife of the Buck type. I am constantly using these things.

Have been glad to have a small roll of tape. Make that a red LED flashlight so you don't blind yourself at night. A small bottle of insect repellant, put it in a secondary plastic bag in case it leaks, you can seriously regret not having this stuff if you have to stay in one spot for a while. And a lens poofer for dust.
