Title: Mamiya DM or Leaf

Could anyone tell me if there are any differences between the Mamiya DM series backs and Leaf backs, apart from the logo?

Id also like some input on if there are any differences at all between the Phase One camera and Mamiya's own brand. Will a firmware update from one work on both, etc.

No differences, and yes, firmware updates are identical.

Even though there is no technical difference, you should check the upgrade path.

As per PhaseOne forum it seems the DM22 has no upgrade path for the digital back.

This is true, but true regardless of whether Leaf or Mamiya. The aggressive pricing of the DM22/Aptus-II 5 doesn't allow the ability to upgrade through the manufacturer.
