Title: Paper feeding problems with R2400
Post by: switters on May 23, 2011, 12:04:44 pm
My R2400 was in a box (in original packaging) for 2 years.  Just brought it out to start printing again.  I'm able to print without a problem using the rear (manual) feeder, but when I try to print using the standard sheet feeder the paper just feeds all the way through.  I've tried several different paper sizes and papers, to no avail.

I called Epson and they suggested using compressed air and "cleaning sheets".  I don't have compressed air on hand, but I do have a Rocket Blower, so I used that to blow around the sheet feed area.  I did some research on Photo.net and someone there suggested running 8.5x11 sheets with a 3 inch band of alcohol through to clean the dust off the rollers.  I did that too.

Still, the sheets just feed right through.  Not sure what else to try at this point.  Any ideas?  Thanks.
