That would be so self-referential it would blow my mind :) Especially if I then went and scanned the print of the scan...

Antibiotics ought to clear that up within a week.

What are we looking at?  Is this straight down on a print or an oblique view?  Is all or some of it ink?

Yeah, I'm really disappointed with the quality of the 8300 now. Those drops of are clearly not tack-sharp. Grrrrrr.

I read the blog. It is very interesting that most of the ink drops are circular, and only a few are oblong. This implies that the majority of ink it is laid down vertically, without any sign of spatter or motion imparted onto the ink drops. Given how quickly the print heads move, it says a lot about the precision of the delivery technology and also the paper to absorb it uniformly.

Very interesting and amusing.

Is it true that the SEM only produce monochromes?
And that SEM color images are actually "hand" colorized?

Fascinating work.

I guess it asks as many questions as it answers though. It would be interesting to see other shots of different tones from other printers, papers and inks.

I'm not sure, actually. I'll ask Dee. I'm pretty sure they're hand colorized.

Yes :) I'm kicking myself for not bringing printed letters on inkjet paper in a variety of colours. Doh!
