Title: can't get 11x38 image to print centered on 13x40 cut sheet

Hello,

i'm printing 11x38 image on 13x40 museo cut sheet.

when i print, it starts the print about 4 inches in instead of 1".

i had this issue before and can't remember what the fix is.

 

i'm creating a custom sheet in page setup in LR3. page size 13x40

its a thick paper so its loading from the back.

paper pulls in fine. the top and bottom both have a 1" border as they should.

any suggestions? .owen

What printer? This sounds like in the printer driver you have something checked/set that you shouldn't with regards to page layout.

epson 2400.
it's seems like i've tried every combination of settings but still getting incorrect borders.

In Lightroom,do the correct borders show on the layout?

I just checked the 2400's specs and it takes paper up to 44" long so your paper length is not the issue.

Have you tried printing through PhotoShop or another printing program?

Also, are you using the "sheet" setting?  In another thread, someone suggested using the "roll paper" setting for long sheets.

tried both ways.
i also tried to print from ps3 and same issue with borders.
just uninstalled and reinstalled drivers from website and still having issues.

Just for grins, if you're on a Windows machine, try the QImage demo to see if that works for you.

The UI is a little eccentric, but it works for me.  I'm using the older Studio version.

thanks Paul, but i didn't make the investment in LR3 to then have to print in  a different app.
LR3 is incredible for printing. i just need to figure out this glitch.

Honestly at this point I would try calling Epson support for advice. Since you're seeing the problem in both LR and PS that means it's some setting in the driver and/or printer, not the Adobe applications.

Maybe printing borderless?
