Title: Good sources for used photo gear?

Other than Craigslist, eBay, the Buy & s Sell boards here and on fredmiranda, what are good places in the U.S. to buy used photography equipment?  I'm going to check KEH and B&H, but any other suggestions appreciated.

I think you have it pretty well covered, the only other place I look is at some of the camera/photo shows

Local trusted camera shops. They should give you some kind of guarantee.

KEH is excellent.  I bought my Canon EOS 630 body and my XPan kit from them, they both arrived in a condition superior to what was advertised.

Yes, KEH is the best place to buy used equipment. Their stuff comes with credibility. They check it over pretty well. At other places, especially individuals on forums, you're never sure who you are dealing with.
Same with new equipment. I've learned the hard way not to fall for great looking deals from places I've never heard of. Now I stick with Adorama and B&H.

Thanks for all the KEH recommendations.  I've never used them before but have heard good things.

I am currently looking for the 1 degree spot meter attachment for the Gossen Luna Pro SBC.  I dug mine out of a closet recently and it's still working like a charm.  So for grins I'm going to put it back in service.

I can certainly recommend KEH.  Many of their offerings on used and like new gear can be cheaper and of higher quality than what others are selling on auction.  It would be a good practice to include them in your search before bidding.

Just bought a used lens from KEH a few days before Christmas. The lens appeared nearly flawless, but had a problem internally, thus I rejected it on Dec. 23.

In one call and in just about five minutes, the problem was solved and a replacement lens was on the way and got here on Christmas Eve, just in time for my friend's surprise!

Easy and fantastic customer service, indeed!

Another time on the road, we had a camera failure and thus by calling KEH, we had a replacement waiting for us a couple of days later when we reached our destination. Another great experience from them!
