Title: Sharpening for A2

[font color=\'#000000\']When I work on my fine mode JPG files, I do:

1) Local Contrast enhancement - USM, 20/50/0

2) USM - 400/.3/10 - the first parameter varies from about 200-500 for display-sized images. You may need to vary the .3 up/down too, perhaps going to .7 for prints.[/font]

Oddly enough I just started another thread on this in a different section of the forum.  Michael kindly answered the question.

I set the camera to soft in camera sharpening then sharpen using Photokit sharpener (sometimes I also use Fractal sharpener).

Check out Michaels article for his suggested workflow, it seems to work very well for me.

[font color=\'#000000\']Thinking about buying an A2 as a way in to gaining digital experience. I see the image files require much more sharpening than most; does anyone have facts/figures as to how much sharpening is normally required for raw files (and jpegs, though these are presumably sharpened in camera)?
