Title: 20D lock-up problem

The only lock-up reported from what I've read is when changing lenses. The camera will simply freeze.

Just upgrade your firmware to a version 1.0.5 or newer, and that should fix it. Waiting won't do much for you. Just ask your dealer to do the firmware upgrade for you if you can't do it yourself...

But if you bought your 20D just 3 weeks ago, it may already have the latest firmware 1.05.  Check your version before sending it in, and if not the latest version, upgrade first.  The above link has all the info you need.

I plan to buy canon eos 20d. I'll buy it from US via internet(it's cheap there). I've red  a lot about lock-up problem. Does it exist after latest firmware update? I want to buy it immediately, but should I wait for 1-2 months until the problems regarding 20d will be solved.

no actually I have 1.0.2 on mine. I am downloading 1.0.5 right now.  Thanks for the info!
