Hi folks
Does anyone know whether tethered shooting is still longer available with the A900. I cannot find my software received with the camera. The up to date software from Sony only seems to allow the A700 to shoot tethered. Am I missing something with the up to date software?
Tanks

Hi!
Yes it works. I tested it a couple of months ago.
My guess is that you can download the software from Sony.

Thanks
Found Camera Remote Control after some searches - strngely some Sony download sites do not appear to include it as part of Sony Image Data Suite. The European site does tho which was not the first site I searched.
Also the information accompanying the download excludes the A900 and stated the Remote Control Software will only work with the A700 ( see below). It actually works fine with the A900 so disregard the Sony advice.
for anyone interested copied from Sony site : http://support.sony-europe.com/dime/downloads/downloads.aspx?f=sids_win&site=odw_en_GB

Sony has launched the new A900 at events around the world where guests and the press photographers had the opportunity for hands-on time with the A900. It certainly was a controlled environment, with a studio setup with a model and a studio shot tied typical product announcements. The two environments do not reflect how most photographers alive today, but configurations producers are hardly designed for comparison with the competition.

Why doesn't Sony advertise this! I'm in the process of buying a NEX-7 when it comes out and would like to make some decisions about getting a new full frame camera. Sold my 1DsMK3 and fairly disappointed by the new Canon replacement. I've heard really good things about the A900 so this is great news. I can now get a couple of the Zeiss A primes and use them with the adapter on the NEX as a backup. How fast is the control when using a PC and does it have live view? I heard that Sony was announcing a new full frame sometime this year hope that happens.
