I know. I was a fighter pilot for ten years. I flew jets in Korea but the first airplane I ever flew was an AT6, and I flew a lot of radial engines later on. They are beautiful -- especially when they're all cleaned up like that one. Have fun with it.

Beautiful image, Cunim. Here are a few from Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio last month. Technically they aren't very good. The Air Force Museum is very dimly lit, and the aircraft close to each other. All my shooting was at ISO 3200 on a Sony 900. But I had a blast, I love aircraft.

Love the Op's shot but love the F-86 nose as well!!

Thanks for the kind comments.  Aircraft are quite the challenge.  Large, irregular, specular.  As with landscapes, bringing out what the eye usually skips over involves a level of technique.  I am enjoying that.
