Title: BH, Adorama, and Every Major Dealer Dropped Leica R!
Post by: EinstStein on May 09, 2010, 11:19:29 pm

I am looking for a Leica R accessory, to my surprise, I can't find any R stuff from BH and Adorama.
I thought maybe Leica had discontinued the whole R system, so I checked out Leica.com.
Leica.com does list the R system, together with M and S and the compact stuffs, but many old accessories I knew were disappeared.

The accessory I'm looking for is the eye-piece adapter that can turn a Leica R super tele photo lens ( or any lens) to a telescope.

Leica did discontinue the R system.  Although they show it on their web site, they also show a statement of March 25, 2009 advising that it is all discontinued.  If you search "completed listings" on eBay, you'll find a few of the Telescope ocular LEICA TO-R have been offered there.  None is currently listed, but likely some will come up again.  You can create a "Saved Search" on eBay for this item, and set it up to notify you when another comes up.
