I think your composition could be better? You could have shown more of the person. I don't see how the light patch is relevant to the composition. Then again if this a grab shot then you didn't have much time to get a better composition?

The composition of floor and sculpture and light was deliberate.

Nice shot and i think the human presence is important. I would venture out of the square format for this one. Sometimes the square, lovely as it might be, doesn't work.

Try a strongly proportioned rectangle and lose some of the foreground..things start to happen more tightly. Party!

I don't like to suggest that a photograph needs cropping, but I think it needs cropping. From my perspective, the important elements in this shot are the floor, the patch of light on the floor and the woman walking into the frame. The round wall on the left does nothing for me and I think there's a bit too much floor in the foreground.

I would crop it something like this.
