I'm new to mediumformat photography.
I have the possiblity to rent time on a Imacon Flextight 848 scanner.
My overall question is: "what is the workflow when I'm starting with a negative, and want to end inside Adobe Lghtroom?" (and possibly with a print afterwards)
I want to leave as many adjustments as possible for postprocessing in Lightroom, because that's the software I know the best.
How do I proceed from here?
Kind regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Where are you renting from? A dealer or photographer?
Either way, get them to show you the 3F workflow in FlexColor. This way you can concentrate 100% on scanning without worrying about adjustments, thus giving you better value for money on your rental time.
When you are at home, you can then use FlexColor to correct your raw scans.

Thank you David.
I will probably rent some time at "The Danish Center of Photography".
Kind regards

3F Scans from FelxColor does not go very well toghether with Lightroom IMO - there you need the FelxColor software to get the most out of your scans, and then output to tif files.
Alternative you can just do basic corrections in FlexColor and scan 16 bit tif and then do the rest in photoshop or Lightroom.
