Beautiful soft hues, a very calm mood. I like it a lot and before reading the title, I thought that it was taken just a few minutes from where I live.

Great shot!! We drove the perimeter of the Olympic Peninsula on 101 a few years back and enjoyed the terrain. Thanks for the flashback!

This was the 2nd study for this subject. The next (and hopefully final) study will be timed so that the tide is out and some of the lights on the other side of the canal are illuminated.

…of course here in the cloud capital of the globe, a low tide near sunset is actually predictable where a clear evening…not so much....

Very nice. I live in Forks so when I visit Seattle I drive over the bridge and I have seen so many awesome shots but you can't stop. LOL

Having been stationed at the sub base at Bangor a few years back, I really loved the stunning views offered by the shoreline of the Hood Canal.  This image captures perfectly the quality of light and beautiful scenics I remember.  Well done!

I remain mixed on this image. The scene is great for color and detail but I'm not sure that's enough to make it compelling.

Lets call it "colorful minimalism" ....
