And the most telling thing about it, just like a Canon lens, it's got a release date five weeks out.  Which means it'll be in short supply for six-eight months, sell at list price, and then drop by about 25% once it's readily available.

I think there's a typo in the ad. It says "available April 16", but I think they should have said "available April Fools' Day."

For me the IS is the important feature, so I won't spill my coffee. But I'll admit the 2.8 would permit gulping more in each swallow.

I read on Sportsshooter.com that this was swag for Canon pro shooters at the Winter Olympics.

LOL!

Just don't leave it in the beverage holder in your car, you'll come back to a smashed window.

Will it be safer if I put a lens cap on it that says "Holga?"

I was too slow...  It's sold out.   Out of curiosity, how much were they going for?

But that was without the Holga lenscap.

If anyone really wants one badly enough - there are a few on ebay at overly inflated prices....(not mine).
Ebay Canon Travel Mugs (http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-White-Lens-70-200mm-1-1-Scale-Thermal-Travel-Mug_W0QQitemZ180480088948QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2a05739b74#ht_2066wt_941)

Personally.. I think these are likely to end up mass produced by (or rather for) Canon once they realise how popular they have been.
