Title: Awagami Inkjet Paper
Post by: Thomas Krüger on March 10, 2010, 02:43:34 am
Anybody has experience printing on this type of japanese washi papers from Awagami?

http://www.awagami.or.jp/en/products/aijp_...ijp_premio.html (http://www.awagami.or.jp/en/products/aijp_premio/aijp_premio.html)
http://www.awagami.or.jp/en/products/aijp/aijp_top.html (http://www.awagami.or.jp/en/products/aijp/aijp_top.html)

Edit: The Awagami paper type Moenkopi Washi Bizan 300 is available through the online shop of Moab Paper - expensive stuff...

I've done test prints on the washi papers that Moab makes. They're... different. You really have to be after that look for it to be worthwhile. The blacks are very, very, bland.

Just bought some Unryu and Kozo.
Is it necessary to mount these, tiny, fragile papers prior to printing? E.g. on a thicker paper with tape?

I ran it straight through my Canon iPF5100 with no issues.
