Title: Amateur astronomer's images rival Hubble

A British amateur astronomer set up an observatory (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/7042005/Space-pictures-taken-from-garden-shed.html) in his garden shed for a "modest" £20k investment (http://www.astropix.co.uk/equipment.html).

Apparently some pro astronomers say his photos rival those taken with Hubble, albeit at a lower resolution and of nearby celestial subjects; his gallery (http://www.astropix.co.uk/ps/index.htm) shows this claim is not unwarranted. Those are visually striking, and I'm sure technically very challenging photos.

Very good images to look at.
