Title: On-the-road backup ideas

I'll be traveling for 10 days and don't want to take a laptop, but would like some way to backup my photos and not rely on the integrity of the memory cards. Can anyone suggest a solution for this? Thanks.

Netbook.

My Acer Aspire One 8.9" with XP, 160GB HDD, and 1GB RAM was $200 for a refurb about 9 months ago. I assume it would have Windows 7 now for about teh same cost.

I use it all of the time at home for e-mail, Excel, Word, etc.  I also have an HP 13" Core 2 Duo laptop that mostly sits, I don't use it much.

You can get a NEW (not refurb) Acer Aspire 1 netbook  with 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD and a 10.1" screen for less than $300 at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. The LED-backlit screen is bright enough to see clearly even in direct sunlight. It's still small and thin enough to fit easily in carryon luggage or just about anywhere, and very light.
