Sandisk announced a bunch of new cards today. Extreme Pro's at Extreme Prices: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0909/09091402sandisk.asp (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0909/09091402sandisk.asp)
Rob Galbraith has his usual excellent review of these new Sandisks vs Transcend vs PhotoFast: http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/content_p...d=7-10043-10255 (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=7-10043-10255)
Rob gives a little too much time to read speeds over write speeds for my tastes, (fastest write is far more important to me) but its a great overview of the cards and new generation readers, and kudos to him for doing this.
Told y'all that the PhotoFast cards were amazing in this thread: http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index....895&hl=32gb (http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36895&hl=32gb)
Rob Galbraith finds they are the fastest writing CF cards of all (beating today's brand new Sandisks) at over 45mb/sec in a 5D2.
They also show the fastest download speeds in Firewire readers (though not in Express Card ones)
oh, and their price is about 1/3 of the Sandisk...
