basically suggests that the RGB histogram in the 1D MKII isn't all that accurate in dicslosing if there is some data in the upper end - the brightness histogram may be a more accurate choice.[/font]

Good observation! I trusted the RGB histogram on my first outing with my new MKII, and was suprised at the blown out highlights when I looked at the results on screen at home.

The lesson was learned, and the photos deleted.

Another thing to maybe keep in mind for those moving from the MKI to the MKII is that the back panel display is brighter on the new camera. While this is good, it can also be tricky if you ever used the display to quickly judge exposure. Not that doing this is ever good SOP, but after taking thousands of shots, it got so I could tell at a glance if I was way off. The MKII will do the same thing of course, it's just speaking a little differently.[/font]
