Temperature is a variable, but somewhere between 250 and 300 has been my experience.

How many shots can you make in Raw mode with moderate LCD usage with one Canon 1Ds battery writing to a Micro drive?

That is in the ballpark of what I am getting also, I have depleted a battery 3 times, and have taken around 1300 shots, using MicroDrives. I have 4 second shot review, and 2 minute auto-off.  I have 2 microdrives and 3 batteries, and run out of drive space before my batteries run out. I have 2 more drives on order, so that should even things out a bit.
