Nice webpage . . . Your comment re. the computer equipment is valid. I'm considering moving into DSLR waters, but see that I'm going to have to spend as much on a new computer setup as I will on the camera and lens combo. A mate of mine just purchased his first DSLR and has come to the same realisation. A DSLR without a good computer setup is somewhat wasted.

Anyone know why RAW transfers to my image-editing program @ 96 dpi yet the camera's JPEGs are 72 dpi, or am I being stupid again!?

The DPI setting tagged to the file is really irrelevant, the important thing is the actual pixel dimensions. All the DPI setting does is suggest a recommended print size when printing the file. An 800x600 pixel image is going to look the same on a web page whether it claims to be 8x6 inches @ 100 DPI or 4x3 inches @ 200 DPI. Pixels is pixels.
