In brief, the 2 terabyte claim refers to the maximum amount of storage that could be indexed IF suitable flash memory chips ever come along, a far larger number than technology will allow anytime soon in a card of exactly the same dimensions as SD.[/font]

Yeah, or what if it just grunges out on you and you lose a month or two of work?  I get nervous enough when my 4 gb microdrive has about 200 images on it.  In fact, after one of my microdrives (no images on it, thank God) gave me an "error 2" I decided to order 3 more 1 gb compact flash cards.  I prefer no more than about 75 images on any one device.  These things are so small and light, what conceivable advantage is there to having thousands of images on one card?  Maybe for audio or video recording, but I don't see it for storing still camera images.[/font]

[font color=\'#000000\']Exactly, notice that the maximum capacity listed in the first article for Memory Stick and a few other formats was also listed as 2TB and I haven't seen any 2TB memory sticks for sale anywhere.[/font]
