Well, now it is official that Kyocera is discontinuing production of even the Contax 645 body at the end of the year, I also wonder in particular what if anything Zeiss will manage to do in order to produce a "vehicle" for its 645 AF lens system. Maybe that great utility player Cosina will come in; after all, I believe that they already work with Zeiss as the actual manufacturer of the new Zeiss Ikon rangefinder.
Looking at the trends, maybe there should be a Zeiss branded 645 integral digital body, like those that Mamiya and Pentax are working on?
