Title: Canon 1Ds Mirror Lock Up
Post by: Tim Gray on August 06, 2005, 03:09:15 pm
until de-activated.  Even if 99% it's still a problem since for that 1% you'll never remember to turn it off.  Most time MLU is used with 2 sec delay and that 1% will be the shot where it's lost if you can't grab it when you see it.

Why don't they just... have a custom option that ties the MLU to the 2 sec delay.

I've seen this issue adressed here with the caveat that it takes 4 menus selections to activate MLU.  My question is does this put the camera in that mode until it is deactivated OR does it only activate the MLU for the next shot.

I am thinking it must be the first but you never know.  If it is then it's not a big issue for one who shoots with MLU 99% of the time.
