Title: Photomatix 'strong detection' - any downside?

Is there any reason for not always selecting the ghosting reduction option ("Moving objects/people" or "Background movements") as 'high'? Is there any downside to the high detection, or the ghosting reduction in general?

From my tests anti-ghosting in Photomatix simply forces blending non-progressive, so every single pixel will be taken from a unique source image. This could improve some moving parts of the image but make others worse, like in this image where Photomatix didn't manage to blend properly the 2 images provided and the anti-ghosting activated reinforced the exposure calculation mistakes:
