why is it that my log in status keeps defaulting to "guest?" I click the remember me box, but usually once a week I'm back to guest again . Anyone else have this problem?

Happens to me too, I am no longer logged in automatically and it's a tad irritating.
I believe it's something to do with the recent forum overhaul as that's when I first saw complaints regarding this issue.

Same thing here, I have to log back in every day, if not more.

Same here. It stinks that this is still happening. I have to log in several times throughout the day, not just daily.

Yes, broken with the most recent forum upgrade. Sometimes I go a couple of days, but often it is more than once a day that I have to log in again. I hope that there are under the hood upgrades that I'm not aware of, because for my $0.02 I'd like to see a downgrade.

A number of is have been experiencing logon issues since the upgrade, it has been discussed in at least one other thread. Suggestions have been made w.r.t. correcting the problem (based on experiences with other forums using the same software package), but no responses have been forthcoming. Let's just say that from my side it is taking a great deal of "commitment" to remain a LL reader . . .
(I have to logon at least 5 to 7 times per day, every day, and posting has become an almost impossible task)

Some changes have been made to the way cookies are setup. For anyone having issues please logout, clear your cookies and then immediately reboot (important or the cookies may stay cached and nothing will be solved). After restarting try and log back in again and let's see if it sticks. If you are still experiencing problems please read the previous topic (and provide the additional info asked for in this thread if you're still having problems).

At this point my best guess is that the people that are having issues may be behind proxies or firewalls or have not have the time/date in sync with the server on their machines. I can't duplicate the issues on any browser/OS configurations (as stated in the previous post as well). I've disabled the Stronghold Cookie and changed the way the forum handles sessions.

This is probably a dumb question but is the forum server's clock correct? I was under the impression that you set the time to UTC but I noticed that new
posts are time stamped UTC + 1 hour.
For example as I write this it is 8:52 PM (UTC) but the newest post on the forum has a time stamp of 9:47 PM.

The server clock is set to the correct time, and the post times show up ok for me here. The posts also show up in the timezone I have specified in my account options, so that's not the problem, but it was worth checking into! The post times that show should be relevant to your timezone choice in your account profile, so you might want to double check what you have set in your account options.
