Title: Need Help Understanding Graphic Post Processing

I came across the work of advertising Photographer Tim Tadder (www.timtadder.com) and would love to get your opinion on how he Post Processes his work. The images are great photographs with good lighting but they have a non-photograph graphic quality which has to be done in post processing. The post processing part is what I would like for someone to explain to me.

Lots of people use this style, normally through some sort of HDR variant.
I have pictures that I did many years ago that look some may assume to be this Dave Hill/Dragan style of work, though done by a completely different method and usually on a 2.1mp P+S.

Go to atncentral.com and look for Dragan Photoshop action on the download page (http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm). It'll give you a starting point and then you can develop your own technique.

I should point out it's not as simple as using an action as lighting is also key to the look.

Correct but an action might help give Nathan some starting points for post-processing.

This plug-in does a pretty decent job of giving that effect.
