I'm currently working on some of my IR images which shot on film and I found the the use of HDR technique would made the final image more appealing. Of course those different exposure were generated from the only sheet of the original film, but it worked.

As for digital,I'm sure  HDR will benefit too...............sadly don't have much time to try it out recently

We should talk some time. I've been interested in infrared since my first days in medium format film.

Recently I've moved over to medium format digital infrared with a modified P45+ (39 megapixels) and a 2-image stitch within the image circle of a 35mm Rodesntock on a Horseman SWD tech camera platform. The dynamic range of this sensor when responding to the IR spectrum is so generous that I've found no need to use HDR in order to acquire the image I want. On the contrary the challenge is how best to stretch the histogram out (S-curve, levels, layer-mode stacking etc). There is practically zero noise even in deep shadows and the overall editing experience is just spectacular.

I'd be happy to lend you a raw file if you'd like to play around.

Wow, 2-image stitch from a P45+ should got lots of details. I'm sure it's better than from an IR 4x5 film

My digital capture of IR is a life pixel converted canon 5D. I intended  to use multiple images stitching  from the 5D to replace my 4x5 IR film capture.

Thanks anyway for lending me the file to play. but the p45+ is too expensive to me............ so it is meaningless indeed. thanks indeed.

( sorry for promoting ). however, those images you see on website are not HDR manipulated. I HDR manipulated on some of these images becoz of a coming exhibition, and yes it squeeze more detail especially when it is printed.
