Well, we're still here. The first test has been done this morning, about 7 hours ago. I live just 45 miles from the LHC.

Absolutely stunning photos. I've visited the LHC on a couple of occasions, with friends working on it but I never took a camera with me.
Thanks for sharing.

No, it's safe, Dark, because it wasn't built using any of the contractors that worked on Boston's Big Dig.

That was just one direction, and in a few days, the other.  In three weeks we'll have the fireworks.  Even then, there are some claims that it will take a few weeks of continuous bombardment to take affect, or like winning the lottery, produce just the right combination.

Lots of doomsday scenarios, and counter arguments, and neither side seems to have solid, conclusive evidence to prove one way or the other.  I guess that's why they call it an experiment?

None-the-less, all this drama is very interesting, as we are living a piece of history that may change everything -and hopefully for the good.

That is a laugh riot!

Which reminds me, I still have part 2, episode 2 on steam and haven't played it yet... need to sharpen my skills.  Also need to put a crow bar and shotgun on the grocery list... where's my pen...

Now you know where the bloody atoms went: into the other tunnel, the one under the English Channel!
