Hi Everyone,
So it's official; the Nikon D90 is here. No one is surprised I guess, the rumors were spot-on again.
Me, I like the price point. Most likely the sensor is almost equal to the D300 but a little cheaper and with added video capacity (although I have reservations about the quality and duration, but we'll see).
I never worked with the D80 on important assignments, but I did on several occasions and it's a nice little camera. One thing bugs me though, and I hope someone can verify:
Does the D80 have Mirror Lock up? I didn't find it, and documentation of the D90 doesn't speak of it.
I'm guessing if the D80 had it, the D90 will too.
thanks,
Mike

As far as I know the D80 did not have a proper mirror lock mode.

No, the D80 has only a much too short delay mode (not adjustable). From the description on dpreview the D90 has the same but with Shutter release is delayed 1.0 sec to avoid vibration (MLU) - this would be much longer than the D80 .
