Title: Bridge CS3 Slow Raw Convert With DNG Files

I have installed PhotoShop CS3 Extended Suite on my MacPro quad core Tower with 4gB Ram.
When using the camera raw dialog in Bridge with latest DNG files converted from original NEF files, processing time is extremely slow compared to using native NEF files.  Also CS2 is much faster at processing DNG files running on Rosetta with this Mac.
I did a test with the same DNG files in CS2 and CS3 a simple sharpening applied to all files clicked done.  CS2 updated all the images around 60 in about 6 seconds CS3 two Minutes!!!
Has anyone had similar problems.

This is the just penalty for converting the NEF files in DNG.

Please explain, Panopeeper. mmhood describes several outcomes to converting to DNG. Which is the just penalty? Why the difference between CS2 and CS3?
