Post by: mtnmanjc on May 27, 2008, 01:42:15 am
Hey Everyone,

Here are a couple images from this last week, taken up at Gem Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.   Any comments would be appreciated!

First photo: nice details in the rocks and reflections, but those slivers of bland blown-out white sky at the top do the image no favors.

Second photo: nice balanced composition, but that bland sky just kills it. Might be worth selecting the sky and doing a curves move to increase the contast in the clouds enough to bring them back to life. Likewise, the foreground could use...something.

Of course, I may be full of hot air; this is all based on looking at my crappy generic office monitor, and these photos might look really nice printed large with lots of detial.
