Title: Sinar eMotion 54LV high ISO sample

Here is a quick test shot taken a few minutes ago to demonstrate the max ISO setting on the 54LV, which is ISO 400.

(This IS a torture test for dynamic range but there was no clipping at either end, even at ISO 400. )

This looks pretty good. I am assuming this is with a first generation eMotion back, and the latest generation (just announced) with the new electronics and larger screen is meant to be even better, correct? Or did you have the new board installed as an upgrade? Was your noise reduction done in Capture Shop, eXposure, Lightroom, ACR, or another Raw processor?

Dear bdp,

The recently announced new sensor electronic board does concern only the eMotion 75 and 75 LV.
The eMotion 54 LV sensor board had been changed from the previous eMotion 22.

Ben,

yes, the eMotion 54 LV uses the newest/latest electronic, though not the same as in the eMotion 75/75 LV, since it is not the same sensor.

Thanks Thierry, I understand now. I think I have just found everything I wanted to see over on the getdpi forums with your excellent 75LV 800 ISO examples.

Raw file was processed to DNG using Brumbaer converter, then noise reduction in Photoshop with noise ninja.
